According to the Battery University, charging a Li-ion cell to just 3.92 V is the optimal voltage to avoid stress and lithium plating. Problem is, nearly all consumer chargers focus on going to 4.2 V for longest battery life.
4. Extending LiPo Battery Lifespan: To maximize the lifespan of your LiPo batteries, consider the following tips: - Regular Maintenance: Keep your LiPo batteries clean and free from dust and debris. Inspect them periodically for any signs of damage, such as swelling or leaks. Dispose of damaged batteries properly.

Lithium-Ion Battery Life Cycle. Dragonfly Energy lithium-ion batteries have expected life cycle ratings between 3,000-5,000 cycles for a heavily used battery. Light use can well exceed this rating. Each manufacturer will also provide the depth of discharge limit to achieve their life cycle rating. In most cases, lithium battery manufacturers
My understanding, from being an electric vehicle owner, is that routinely limiting the charge to 70-80% is the best way to maximize the battery pack's life span. Charging to 100% is only done when anticipating a long trip. Is this not the case for all rechargeable Li ion batteries, from cell phones and laptops to portable tools and appliances?
Plugging in the vehicle is also recommended in cold weather, so the battery heating system can run on grid power. Minimize the amount of time the battery spends at either 100% or 0% charge. Both extremely high and low "states of charge" stress batteries. Consider using a partial charge that restores the battery to 80% SoC, instead of 100%.
