While its precise origins are debated, Bohemian style is believed to have been influenced by the nomadic lifestyle of the Romani people during the late 19th century to the early 20th century.

Since this new group of creatives dressed in artistic and quirky ways, the general public initially compared them to the nomadic gypsies who dressed similarly and had migrated from an area of Eastern Europe called ‘Bohemia’.
